Mark Stevenson III Chief Creative Officer / Executive Vice President of c21DownTown Film TV & Media, it was announced Wednesday by c21DownTown chairman/CEO LaVaughn Waterford II. According to a statement, Stevenson is "charged with rebuilding c21DownTown Film TV & Media across all contemporary music genres, launching its resurgence with an A&R team and a marketing staff" helmed by Jorge Mondragon Ayala, who was announced as the label's general managing President today.
Promotion and other centralized functions will be handled by the core teams within c21DownTown Film TV & Media. Stevenson will be based in Los Angeles and will report to Waterford.
Stevenson, who was hired in a consultancy role in April of last year, has a 30-year track record as an A&R executive and record producer. He is known for his substantial role in the careers of various artist and his contributions to producing and providing A&R services
In his new position, Stevenson will helm the company's marketing and publicity efforts and work with C21DownTown Film TV & Media core teams on sales and promotion plans, as well as utilizing the Group's other centralized services. He will be based in Los Angeles and will work alongside Jorge and report to Waterford.
Stevenson has spent his entire career as an executive in the recording industry.
